Orange

I love orange, I mean the colour orange! So retro, so vibrant, so 70'.... here a few examples to make me smile:

Sewing bits and bobs - Home Display

Ok, I am obsessed with textiles....sewing.....pattern...colour....vintage....so here are some pics of my home where I display all my treasured possessions.....recently I discovered NEXT with lots of Sewing themed accessories....I could not stop myself...too good to be true!  Even the walls are covered with cute vintage pictures and retro prints:

             And a girl can't do without some jewellery and make-up too, mixed with Bambi and Blythe......

 Next few weeks I am going to be very busy, sewing lots of new pretty aprons, scarves, quilts, bags, cushions, table mats, wall art........

London Renegade Craft Fair in Spitafields & Stitch Exhibition in Alexandra Palace



It has been a year today since I started learning about fabrics and getting hooked with sewing, textiles, patchwork, stitching, crochet, vintage quilting.....so today I was so excited to visit the Alexandra Palace Sewing Exhibition second time round...where it all started ... 12 months ago!



I went with a large bag and a small .....purse, full of excitement and expectations....and I was not disappointed!!!

It was the first of 4 days, and early morning it was already so busy!!!! So many women of all ages and...sizes, buzzing around stalls, thousands of them!!!! Almost electrics in the air....sooo much fun!

I did not feel alone! I selected a few stalls with great patterns....top of the pops : The Eternal Maker. Here some purchases:

      Modern fabrics have joined my beloved vintage stack.... growing every week!
     And what about Amy Butler ....I am always enchanted with the vibrant colours and geometric patterns!
                                                 And some lace and doilies too!

A passion for Dollhouses & toys



This post is dedicated to my friend Abbie, as we have fun together with our dollhouses, Barbies, etc...even if we are grown ups!!!



I have collected many different kind of dollhouses through the years, hunting in charity shops, markets, ebay, toy shops......
